Director of Development

The Director of Development is a new position that will help drive the success of the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota by implementing an effective fundraising strategy. This position will grow in scope, responsibility, and level of authority as CMSM achieves its goal of financial sustainability.

Ag and Nature Education Manager

The Ag and Nature Education Manager is responsible for developing ag and nature-based programming and exhibits. This includes managing farm animal care, crop fields, and gardens while providing a safe learning experience for all visitors.

Front Desk Staff

This position is the first point of contact for Museum visitors and oversees the Museum’s front desk, café, and gift shop while on duty. Playworker

Playworkers facilitate gallery and exhibit experiences by enthusiastically interacting with and engaging children and families. This is a part-time position, 10 – 12 hours per week. We are currently looking for those able to work flexible hours on weekdays (Tuesday-Friday), and possibly some nights and weekends. To apply, please fill out our online application here.

Museum Generalist

The Museum Generalist will provide high-level support to CMSM’s team of Directors in a fast-paced environment. Key attributes include knowledge of a wide variety of technology platforms, commitment to improvement of CMSM processes, attention to detail, and maintaining a positive attitude while addressing the unexpected. Reporting to the Director of Memberships and Guest Services, this position is full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt, and eligible for CMSM benefits.
