Outdoor Explorers
Bundle up and head outside for hands-on winter adventure! Our Outdoor Explorers program invites children and their caregiver to discover, play, and learn through open-ended outdoor experiences.
Outdoor explorers will enjoy snowshoeing through the landscape, creating in the nature kitchen with colorful ice, exploring and building in our brand-new igloo. Sleds and snowman-building kits add even more opportunities for active winter fun and imaginative play!
Along the way, guests are encouraged to observe the natural world around them and record their discoveries in a take-home journal available in the Loose Parts Play Hub—extending the learning beyond the day’s adventure. This program fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love for the outdoors in all seasons.
LOCATION: CMSM Loose Parts Play Hub and the Dotson Back 40(weather permitting). If outdoors are closed, the Loose Parts Play Hub will also close and the program will move to Cecil’s Imagineering Loft.
