Paleontology Puzzles | CMSMatHome

Good morning from #CMSMplay!

Gather some paper, scissors, pencils, and something to color with, if you’d like. Draw dinosaur bones and plan as you go: how will your pieces fit together? Are there any special bones that are unique to it? Cut your pieces and then challenge someone to assemble the puzzle!

Further Your Learning

  • Paleontologists are scientists who study fossils of plants and animals. Sometimes they need to put smaller pieces together, like a puzzle, to figure out an animal or plant fossil.
  • Research different dinosaurs and identify traits that they share or that are unique to them. Talk about how dinosaurs would have done things like eating or walking.
