Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota Corporate Partner Program

Mankato— September 21, 2022— Now in its third year, the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota (CMSM) recently restructured the Corporate Partner Program to better serve the greater Mankato area.

One of several members of the CMSM’s Corporate Partner program is Schwickert’s Tecta America. Kim Schwickert is the former president of Schwickert’s. He says his organization is proud to be a Corporate Partner.

Kim says the reason they chose to support the Museum is quite simple:

“We want to help make it a first-class destination for families all over southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa,” Schwickert said.

He believes the Museum positively impacts our region for a large number of people. He said the Museum has a special feel and offers opportunities that can last a lifetime.

“I like how it is a teaching experience for kids. Any time you can touch and experience real life things it makes it easier to become a long-lasting memory,” he said.

He said he is also proud to support an organization that makes for a great learning experience for kids in the area and for families from out of town to come and visit.

But it is not just the kids and those in the community that have benefited from Schwickert’s generosity.

“Anytime our company’s financial support can make something better for the community it is a good thing,” Schwickert said.

As a Corporate Partner, Schwickert’s helps to support the Children’s Museum Access for All programs, specifically Gateway to Play memberships. These memberships are provided to families facing barriers at no cost to them. CMSM strives to maintain one-third of all memberships as Gateway to Play members.

He said helping others who might not otherwise have an opportunity to experience the Museum is just one of the many benefits of being a Corporate Partner, and he encourages fellow companies to join in.

“Others should support to help continue the great accomplishments the Museum has achieved. To be the best, you have to always change and improve. This can only be done with financial support and new people and their fresh ideas,” Schwickert added.

Along with helping to give back to the community, corporate partners also enjoy these benefits:

  • 50% employee discount on Family and Grandparent memberships
  • Recognition in annual donor materials
