Alphabet Hunt | CMSMatHome

Alphabet Hunt educational activity for kids from the Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota

To ease into the weekend, we’re rolling out a simple prompt that could keep the whole family busy for as long as you’d like. We’ll go on an alphabet hunt inside the home, as well as outdoors if/when the weather permits.

To play this game, simply call out the letters of the alphabet and challenge children to find an object in the house that starts with the chosen letter. Older children can find objects that end in that same letter, too. If there are smaller items that are easy to move, you could arrange them alphabetically once all letters have been called out.

If you are able to take the activity outside, call out all the letters again and see if it was easier or harder to find your objects.
